Thammarat is a queer, Thai-American singer-songwriter and performer from Maryland whose music might best be described as queer, chamber/indie pop with a hint of R&B and musical theater influence.
Drawing lyrical inspiration from his lived experience as a gay Asian American and vocal influence from artists like Ben Platt, Josh Groban, and David Archuleta he sings about love, life, politics, and queerness with a passion, maturity, and virtuosity that belies his young age, challenges expectations, and creates an intimate and personal experience for his listeners.
As a performer, Brennan has sung with numerous D.C./Maryland based ensembles, most notably the GenOUT Youth Chorus (2015-2021) with appearances at the Kennedy Center, Washington National Cathedral, White House, Library of Congress, and the 2016 GALA Choruses Festival. He also performed as a Teen Choir member for the 2018 Horatio Alger Awards ceremony at DAR Constitution Hall. In 2019, he was a featured speaker and soloist at the plaque dedication ceremony honoring Matthew Shepard.
Thammarat released his first EP, Songs With Granddad, in 2024, which features his late grandfather on piano. His most recent release is Buckle Up.
